Q: Where and when are the church’s services? A: Our church is located at the corner of John St. and Concord Ave. in Beamsville. We have two services. The time of our traditional morning service is 10:30 am. Our contemporary evening service is held at 6:00 pm. Q: What should I wear?A: Generally, people wear upscale casual and informal business clothing to our traditional morning service. People at our contemporary evening service typically wear jeans and casual clothing; it is a come-as-you-are service. Q: How long are your services? A: Our traditional morning service is about 75 minutes long, while the contemporary evening service is 60 minutes in length. Q: What is the difference between your two services? A: Both of our services have a strong a cappella singing tradition. This means that we sing in full four-part harmony with no accompaniment. In our traditional morning service, we sing hymns. In our contemporary evening service, we sing a mixture of contemporary Christian music and well-known hymns. Our morning service enjoys a tradition of analysis of the Scriptures and application to our everyday lives. Our evening service enjoys a more casual and Spirit-led approach in which both the minister and the members share their stories about walking closely with God through their understanding of the Scriptures. Both services share the commitment to loving God, loving each other, and serving the world, and to sharing communion together. Q: Will I have to say anything, sign anything, or be singled out? A: Not in any way at all will you be singled out. Our hope is that you will feel comfortable at either of our services. Q: What about my kids? A: We have a program providing Christian education for children up to Grade 6. |
