Nine Characteristics of Narcissistic Personality Disorder:

1. Grandiose sense of self-importance
2. Preoccupation with fantasies of success, power, brilliance, beauty or ideal love
3. A belief that they are special or unique, and should only associate with same
4. Require excessive admiration
5. A sense of entitlement
6. Taking advantage of others to meet their own needs
7. Lack of empathy
8. Envious of others or believe others are envious of them
9. Arrogance in behaviours or attitudes

Strategies for accepting and sharing emotions:

1. Name the emotion
2. Create space to feel the emotion
3. Share the emotion with somebody trustworthy
